Choosing the right camping lantern
Lighting up the yard can really make your house stand out at night. When the sun goes down your lights are what will make your house stand out. We use lights to see what we are doing and even to sort of decorate our houses. Luckily there are many styles of lights to choose from so you can do a whole lot with lights. For the outdoorsy types, there is the camping lantern which is a staple for tent campers’ gear. Nowadays you can choose between compact florescent, LED bulbs, Halogen and even the old incandescent bulb. Whatever type of light you want to light your home with you can use it.
While we use most of our lighting inside the house you also need light outside the house. Not just light for seeing things but also for decoration. Throughout the year we decorate our home with lights for special holidays. Then after the holidays are done for we take down the lights and put them away until the same time next year when we will do it all over again.
Decorating the yard with lights that can be used all year round is much more exciting. If you light your yard properly you can make your yard look great. Lighting can be almost like landscaping your yard in that it can make it look a lot better. One thing that can make your yard look great is a camping lantern. A camping lantern is like a normal lantern you would go camping with only that it is powered by electricity.
These look really neat in your yard even during the day. During the day they are just something that most people likely do not have in their yards so it is unique. At night they glow and look like a real camping lantern lighting up areas in the yard. You can get these lanterns in either the plug in variety or solar power. A solar powered camping lantern will not be quite as bright as the plug in kind.
This is not such a bad thing if all you want them for is decoration anyways. They could still easily light up a pathway. The plug in camping lanterns will put out a lot more light so you can see with them. You can also get the plug in kind that do not put out too much light so they will not use much power. A single garden lantern, camping lantern (or several) would look great in your yard.
